Storm Damage Repair in The Village, Done in the Right Order

After hail or high wind, we get on your roof, mark every hit, take clear photos and tell you what actually needs fixing. Then we repair it so water stays out, your attic stays dry and your home holds its heat and cool air the way it should.

What Storm Damage Repair Covers

Storm damage repair is fixing what hail, wind and wind-driven rain did to your roof and gutters. Some of it is easy to see, like shingles lying in the yard. A lot of it is not. Hail can crack the mat under a shingle and knock the granules loose without leaving a hole. That shingle looks fine from the street and fails a year or two later.

Oklahoma spring storms bring big hail and straight-line wind, often in the same week. So we check the whole roof, not just the spot you noticed. We look at shingles, ridge caps, vents, flashing and gutters, then go into the attic if we can.

That attic check matters for more than leaks. Wet insulation stops insulating. A cracked vent or a torn ridge cap lets the attic lose its airflow. Either one makes your heating and cooling work harder. Fixing the damage the right way puts that back where it was.

What the Work Includes

  1. 01

    A full roof walk

We walk every slope and mark hail hits and lifted or creased shingles with chalk. We check the soft metals too, since dents in vents and flashing show how big the hail was.

  2. 02

    Photos you keep

You get pictures of what we found, close up and wide, so you can see it without climbing a ladder. Your insurance adjuster can use them too.

  3. 03

    Attic and decking check

We look for water stains, damp insulation and soft spots in the decking. Wet insulation gets flagged, because it loses most of its value until it dries or gets replaced.

  4. 04

    Temporary cover when needed

If there is an open spot, we can tarp it so rain stays out while the claim and the repair get sorted.

  5. 05

    The repair itself

We replace damaged shingles, ridge caps, pipe boots, vents and flashing, sealed and nailed the way the shingle maker calls for. If the damage is too widespread to patch, we tell you that and talk through roof replacement.

  6. 06

    Gutters and cleanup

Dented or pulled gutters get fixed or replaced so water drains away from your home. Old shingles and scraps go in our trailer. Before we pack up, we go over the grass, flower beds and drive with a magnetic bar to pick up stray nails.

Signs Your Roof Took Storm Damage

  • Granules in the gutters

A pile of dark grit at the downspouts after a hailstorm means shingles lost their surface. That surface is what protects them from sun.

  • Dents on metal

Look at your gutters, downspouts, AC unit and mailbox. If they are dented, the roof got hit by the same hail.

  • Missing or creased shingles

Wind lifts the tabs and bends them back. A creased shingle has lost its seal even if it lies flat again.

  • New ceiling stains

A brown ring on the ceiling, often near a vent or chimney, means water got past the roof.

  • Higher energy bills or a stuffy upstairs

If a room got harder to keep comfortable after a storm, damp insulation or damaged attic vents may be part of it. It is worth a look.

How a Storm Repair Job Goes

  1. 1

Call us and pick a time

Let us know what you noticed and the day the storm hit. We book a visit and give you a time to expect us.

  2. 2

    We inspect and photograph

We check the roof, gutters and attic and photograph what we see. Then we go over it with you, including what's urgent and what can hold off.

  3. 3

    Help with your claim

If you file, we explain how claims usually go and can join your adjuster on the roof to show the damage. Coverage is the adjuster's decision. We're there so nothing gets overlooked.

  4. 4

    The repair

We protect your plants and siding, then remove and replace the damaged sections. If the weather holds, most repairs are done in one day.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and final look

We haul off debris, sweep up nails and walk the job with you, with photos of the finished roof.

What Moves the Cost of a Storm Repair

Every storm hits a roof differently, so we price it after we see it. You get a written estimate that lists each piece of work. If insurance is involved, we walk you through how our estimate lines up with the adjuster's.

How much of the roof was hit
A few wind-torn shingles is a small job. Hail spread across every slope can tip the answer toward replacement.
Damage under the shingles
Soft decking or wet insulation adds work that is not visible until we get in there.
Matching materials
Older shingle styles can be hard to match in color and shape. That can change how much of a slope needs to be redone.
Roof pitch and height
Steep or tall roofs need more safety setup and take longer to work.
Gutters and metal
Bent gutters, vents and flashing are added to the total if they need replacing.

Storm Damage Questions

Should I file an insurance claim before or after you look at my roof?

Having us look first is usually smart. You find out if there is real damage before you open a claim. If there is, you have photos to start with. If there is not, you know that too.

My roof isn't leaking. Does hail damage still matter?

Yes. Hail can break the shingle mat and strip granules without making a hole right away. Those spots wear out faster and tend to leak later, often after the claim window has closed.

How soon after a storm should I have it checked?

Sooner is better. Damage is easier to tie to a specific storm when it is fresh. Most insurance policies also have time limits on filing, so check yours.

Will the new shingles match my old ones?

We get as close as we can. If your shingle has been discontinued, we show you the closest options and explain what that means for the repair and your claim.

Can storm damage really affect my energy bills?

It can. Water that soaks attic insulation cuts how well it works. Damaged vents or ridge caps can throw off attic airflow, so heat builds up in summer. Fixing those parts helps your home hold its temperature again.

Do you also work outside The Village?

Yes. We handle storm repairs in nearby areas like Nichols Hills, Warr Acres, Oklahoma City and Edmond. The Service Areas page lists more.
